Ascent

Ascent is the world’s biggest external glass elevator, offering a mesmerizing view of the New York skyline. It gives you a ride 120m above the top floor of One Vanderbilt, taking you to the attraction's highest vantage point. Enjoy a stunning view as you look to the south of Manhattan at the Empire State Building and lower Manhattan streets.

Air: Transcendence 1

Transcendence 1 is a glass room dawning floor-to-ceiling mirrors to create a stunning multi-sensory experience for you. This room is an immersive experience forming the first part of the incredible art exhibit Air by Kenzo Digital.

Air: Transcendence 2

Transcendence 2 experience is an extension of Transcendence 1, offering you a unique perspective of the latter. This is a sensory treat that gives you a special viewpoint. Look down through the glass portals on the floor to get transported to a world of dazzling visuals.

Interactive displays

The observation deck features several interactive displays that allow you to interact with the art exhibits allowing you to become a part of them. These displays include touchscreens, augmented reality exhibits, and much more.

Face in the clouds

This interactive exhibit allows you to become a part of the art installation! Spot yourself projected into a mesmerizing visual of clouds. This is a truly dream-like experience that aims at taking you on an imaginative journey.

Air: Beacon Mode

Air Beacon is a feature of the observation deck which gets activated after sunset. Dazzling lights flow across SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, making it a beacon of light and energy. This exhibit allows you to trigger different lighting effects by waving your hands.

Levitation

This exhibit is a treat for the adventure seeker in you. Levitation is a glass floor perched 1,063 feet above street level, giving you the illusion of floating in the air. Enjoy a view of Manhattan's streets right under your feet!

Shape-shifting visual

Enjoy the magic of shape-shifting visuals of the mesmerizing art display Cloud by renowned artist Yayoi Kusama. This display has been designed to calm your senses and allow you to take a moment to yourself.

Restaurants (Après)

Après is a restaurant located on the 93rd floor of One Vanderbilt, just below the observation deck. It offers a menu of contemporary American cuisine and stunning views of the city.

Who built SUMMIT One Vanderbilt? 

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt was built by SL Green Realty Corp, one of the largest commercial landlords in New York City. The building was constructed on the site of the former Vanderbilt Avenue between 42nd and 43rd streets. Designer Kenzo Digital and his studio created a space that reflects and refracts the many moods of NYC for his three-floor permanent installation at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an iconic modern skyscraper. The building was completed in 2020 and stands 1,401 feet tall with 93 floors. The architectural style of the building is contemporary, with sleek glass and steel facades.

The building was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), an architectural firm based in New York City. KPF is known for its innovative and modern designs, including the Lotte World Tower in Seoul and the International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt features a number of unique architectural elements, including a three-story observation deck on the 91st to 93rd floor and a glass crown that sits atop the building.

One Vanderbilt is a 1,401-foot-tall skyscraper right next to Grand Central Terminal in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Completed in 2020, it is the tallest commercial skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan.
