Entry description When NYC MoMA was founded in 1929, the first works to enter the collection were drawings and the prints. Over the years, these two media forms have been displayed together and separately. Since 2013, they have been displayed together within the umbrella of MoMA Drawing and Prints Department.
The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Drawings and Prints Study Center allows researchers access to MoMA Museum’s collection of art on paper. This includes prints, drawings, illustrated books, multiples, and more. Researchers can also access the curatorial works for consultation purposes. This study center is accessible via an appointment. This MoMA study center is open only on Wednesdays from 2pm to 4:30pm.
