We had a great time. Eat before you go in. Cafe is pricy. Plan on being there at opening to have ample time and avoid a crowd for an hour or two. Sooooo much to see so plan a second visit and wear comfy shoes.

Things to know before booking your Intrepid Museum tickets

  • The general admission ticket includes access to all permanent exhibitions including the Intrepid, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, the Growler, and the British Airways Concorde; & all temporary exhibits as well.
  • The Cold War exhibition is free to explore.
  • Most parts of the museum are wheelchair accessible except for the Submarine, the Gun Tub, the Anchor Chain Room, the Captain's Bridge, and the Concorde. Additionally, wheelchairs are not available for rent/public use.
  • Active-duty US military personnel and veterans are granted complimentary admission to the museum upon presenting valid identification, courtesy of the generous sponsorship from Bank of America. Additionally, spouses of active-duty service members are eligible for a 20% discount on admission fees.

  • Bag inspection is required: All bags and camera cases will be inspected before entry.
  • Exhibit care: Guests are prohibited from touching exhibits and must be cautious with close-up photography.
  • Photography guidelines: Personal photography is allowed, but certain equipment requires prior approval from the Museum.
  • Conduct standards: Offensive language, disruptive behavior, and possession of weapons or drugs are strictly prohibited.
  • No wheeled items: Bicycles, scooters, tricycles, skateboards, roller/in-line skates, or wheeled shoes are not allowed on Museum property.
  • Weapons are prohibited: Firearms or any weapons are strictly forbidden anywhere on Museum premises.
  • Pet policy: Pets are not allowed, but service animals are welcome when properly leashed and under the control of their owners.
