Last entry: Entry to the park stops 45-mins before closing, and animal exhibits shut down 30-mins prior. In some cases, exhibits may close earlier if they reach capacity limits.

  • Gate A (Asia Gate Entrance): Located on Boston Road, one block north of 180th Street.

What’s included in the admission ticket?

Your Bronx Zoo tickets include access to all exhibits, the Zoo Shuttle, the Bug Carousel, Nature Trek, Penguin Feedings, and Sea Lion Feedings. However, Wild Encounters and the Budgie Landing experience require separate tickets.

Why aren’t ticket prices the same every day?

Tickets prices vary based on crowd levels. On peak days like weekends and holidays, prices are slightly higher.

When is the best time to book tickets for the lowest prices?

For the best prices, consider booking tickets for a weekday visit when there are fewer crowds.

Is there an extra charge for Wild Encounters?

Yes, Wild Encounters requires separate tickets, which are available for purchase on-site.

Are there any discounts available on tickets?

Yes, children ages 3-12 and seniors 65 and older receive discounted tickets. Children 2 and under do not require tickets.

Does the zoo offer free admission days?

Entry to the Bronx Zoo is free on Wednesdays, however, you will have to reserve your spot in advance. Keep in mind that Wednesdays are often crowded.

What is the cancellation policy?

Your tickets cannot be canceled or rescheduled.

Can I reschedule if the weather is bad?

Unfortunately, tickets cannot be rescheduled due to bad weather. However, there are many indoor exhibits to enjoy. We recommend checking the weather forecast before booking.

At what age can kids visit the zoo by themselves?

Children aged 18 and above can visit the zoo on their own. Anyone 17 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
