The Story
Adapted from the 2001 Academy Award-winning picture Moulin Rouge, the musical is a timeless tale of two star-crossed lovers. Christian, a young, destitute writer, arrives in Paris in 1899 with dreams in his eyes. He soon finds himself ensnared in Moulin Rouge's legendary bohemian excess and revelry. However, the club's callous owner Harold Zidler threatens the truth, beauty, freedom, and love — bohemian values — by jeopardizing the life and safety of the star performer and Christian's love interest, Satine. What happens next? Can the unlikely heroes save the day?
